Epsom Symphony Orchestral Society

The Epsom Symphony Orchestra was formed over 60 years ago by a local family. Since its inception it has engaged three Musical Directors, the latest (Darrell Davison) having been in position for over thirty years. A professional musician, Darrell continues to add great value with his enthusiasm and passion for making music more accessible and for developing young musicians. The orchestra aims to present classical music to the residents of the Borough of Epsom & Ewell at affordable prices. We continue to develop a good following. The Orchestra rehearses at St. Martin’s Junior School, Epsom every Thursday evening from September to June. We perform five concerts each year at The Epsom Playhouse, where we have been the resident orchestra since the theatre opened in 1982. Our programmes are designed to challenge the orchestra and to extend the repertoire of the audience.
