There has always been an exclusion under the event cancellation section for ‘communicable diseases’. If you have to cancel an event due to COVID-19 (or any other communicable disease) you cannot make a claim for the event under the event cancellation cover. This includes if the event is cancelled due to a government-enforced lockdown. This is a common industry wide exclusion for event cancellation cover.
