You are most welcome to join the William Byrd Singers for their 24th Annual Workshop, Sing Joyfully
This year we will be singing Claudio Monteverdi’s Beatus Vir and the “other” 40-voice motet by Alessandro Striggio (Ecce Beatam Lucem).
Forty parts will be quite a challenge but we will be under the excellent musical direction of Keith Orrell.
The day starts at 10am so that music can be given out and voice parts allocated. We will break for lunch (which you will need to bring, or perhaps visit one of Didsbury's excellent eateries). After the afternoon session, at 4pm, we will perform our work to an informal public audience.
You do not need to know these pieces but a reasonable ability to sight read will help. You will also need to register your prefered voice part on line
We hope you will join us for a day full of laughter, beautiful music and lots of cake!
