Handel Messiah

Join Lewisham Choral Society and the Forest Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance of Handel’s magnificent Messiah.

Written in 1741, this mature work shows Handel at the peak of his musical powers: its dramatic choruses, exquisite solos and masterful orchestration surely make the Messiah one of the greatest works in the choral repertoire, loved throughout the world by singers and audiences alike.

It is hard to believe that Handel completed it in only 24 days!
