Music groups often start as small and informal, but as they become well established a formal structure can be beneficial. It can help when applying for funding, provide liability protection for your members, establish clear leadership roles and provide long-term sustainability.
This event will look at the options available including; unincorporated associations, Charities, Community Interest Companies and limited companies, and outline how each one impacts your group’s finances and governance
Whether you're an established group or just starting out, this event will equip you with the knowledge to make informed decisions and set your group up for success.
We'll talk about:
- The benefits and drawbacks of different structures
- Financial implications
- Personal liability
- Practical steps to formalising your group’s structure
- Anything else that comes up on the topic!
There will be an opportunity to ask questions via the chat function during the event.
There will be a short break during the event.
