The inspiring work of a great composer at the height of his powers - Elgar’s “The Music Makers”- both reflects on past glories, and speaks of “the glorious futures we see”.
Guildford Choral and the Chichester Singers will combine forces to pair this work with the ethereal “Hymnus Paradisi” by Herbert Howells, a deeply moving work inspired by personal loss and the quest for transcendence.
The combined choirs will be joined by a stellar cast of award-winning soloists, Charlotte Bowden (soprano), Diana Moore (contralto) and Matthew Long (tenor), and the internationally renowned Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Jonathan Willcocks.
