Fife Festival of Music 2024
It’s the 10th Family Funday Sunday at Fife Festival of Music!
On Sunday 17th November at Kirkcaldy High School, Dunnikier Way, Kirkcaldy KY1 3LR, Fife Festival of Music will present its 2024 Funday, a family fun-filled musical afternoon.
Mini workshops/Maxi fun.
A musical funday for all the family with workshops and performances.
and it’s FREE!
This will be the tenth Family Funday of Musicmaking promoted by Fife Festival of Music with lots of fun to interest people of all ages. Bring the family, bring your neighbours, borrow you neighbours’ children and come along – for some fun with music.
FFoM will have its own stall promoting its existence in the music community of Fife.
‘Come and try’ workshop sessions will be available for jumbie jam (mini steel pans), samba, music making for the very young, pipe band drumming and ukulele.
There will also be short informal performances by Dysart Colliery Silver Band Ensemble, Aberdour Flutes and students of Kirkcaldy High School.
The main performance will be a 45 minute family concert given by the highly entertaining, hugely talented and colourful 'Travelling by Tuba', all the way from Manchester. There will be face-painting, a quiz, colouring-in, as well as the FFoM shop selling pens, pencils, notebooks, cards, and 'musical' gifts. Refreshments available.
Doors open at 11.30am.
With support from the Festival, The Friends of FFoM, and in partnership with Kirkcaldy High School, Friends of Kirkcaldy High School and Fife Council Instrumental Music Service and YMI, admission is free for all. Open to all ages, families, friends, parents, children (under 12s must be accompanied).
