The Blue Light Symphony Orchestra are delighted to offer you the opportunity to spend a weekend experiencing this iconic music in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Join the world's only orchestra for all emergency services and play alongside firefighters, paramedics, police officers who are also talented musicians.
Anyone can apply to join the workshop but we give priority to emergency workers, the wider NHS, military and their families. This means we usually have most places available for strings but please apply if you are any instrument, grade 7 or above. We have a range of players with some returning to playing after a break and others who play professionally.

A wonderful Sunday workshop with the BLSO, learning and playing Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances - a new work for me, and both challenging and exhilarating as we explored it together. The BLSO is such an amazing idea - to play with fellow emergency service colleagues in an environment where our focus is entirely on music is a fabulous way to spend a Sunday!
